====== Changelog ====== Here we list the updates and fixes added to the server. ==== 22 April 2026 ==== **Changes/improvements** * Modified boat captains so the ticket is not required anymore. We might have missed some, in that case, please let us know. * Modified the loot system so the maximum restriction is set to 30. It was set to a level equal to the enemy that dropped it but the system only cared about level 30 max when deciding the enhancements. * Updated West Trondor Forest to include high level encounters, unlocked doors to pass and a boat at the end to get back to some cities. * Added a merchant with random items (rares and epics) at the end of the West Trondor Forest areas. Items are level 25-30. * Added a small desert area in Abiz with more encounters and a new boss. The boss behaves for now like a normal enemy with just better stats. Later will be improved to behave like a boss with better loot. * Added a merchant with random items (rares and epics) at the Oasis in the new areas in Abiz. Items are level 15-20. * Enabled sticky combat modes. **Bugs fixed** * Fixed issues with the subraces and new player checks that were not applying subraces accordingly. This fix is not retroactive so characters need to be recreated. * Fixed an issue that was stripping the clothes of the dead enemies and wasn't looking very nice. * Fixed an issue that some subrace effect weren't applied after dead. * Fixed an issue where reconnecting players were suffering more damage than needed, resulting sometimes, in dead. ==== 21 April 2026 ==== **Changes/improvements** * Upgraded to PRC 8. This included the new races Korobokuru, Nezumi, Maeluth, Mechanatrix, Shyft, Wispling, Grey Elf and Warforged Scout * Added an option in the starting area to delete a character. **Bugs fixed** * Henchmen were leaving equipped items on the floor. * Now on character creation all items are properly removed. * Shifting with PnP shifter was breaking subraces. Not anymore. * Enemies were dropping random nwn stuff (low treasure). * Henchmen were not leveling up the same as the player and had to be resummoned. ==== 20 April 2026 ==== **Changes/improvements** * Tweaked the % of dropping items. When dropping socketed items there will be to attempts, one for clothing (including helmets) and one for weapons, armors or shields. The same is applied for randomly generated items. This way weapons won't be as scarce as they appear to be. * Starting area store improved with full plate and damage reduction belts, normal and greater. * Experience system completely tweaked. The system has been modified to require a specified number of enemies of your level killed to advance to the next level. Up to level 5 10 enemies are needed per level. From 6 to 10 you will need 15 enemies per level and from 11 onwards it goes up to 20 enemies per level. This enemies must be of your level, if they are lower you will need more and if they are higher you will need less. This makes progression smother. ==== 19 April 2026 ==== **Changes/improvements** * Improved the drop mechanic. Now an invisible object called "Corpse of XXX" will drop instead of the previous mechanic that made some enemies unselectable. * The "Corpse of XXX" will disappear automatically after a few seconds if it had no loot so you only interact with the corpses with loot. But this is not immediate after death, it takes a couple of seconds. If you might see an enemy body disappear in front of you is because it had no loot. * The bank system has been completely revamped. Previous system was unstable. * Enemy monster won't drop NWN items anymore. Instead they will drop twice the amount of random generated items. **Bugs fixed** * Bank system now correctly tells the gold you have on login. * Bulletin Board in Benzor wasn't working properly. * Henchmen should properly disappear now on logout. * Henchmen don't drop items anymore. * You cannot teleport to your leader if they are in a forbidden area (persistent bank area). * Socket system was throwing debug information. ==== 16 April 2026 ==== **Changes/improvements** * Tweaked the % of random loot to make the game more interesting. * Removed some uberpowerful items from drop tables. **Bugs fixed** * Newbie shop (starting area) had some basic items not unlimited. * Factions were broken. * Temple(s) of life now allow selling any kind of item. * Mobs didn't drop any loot. * Some inverted alignment didn't allow leveling a Druid. * Initial XP was not given. * First teleport issues. * Some mobs weren't lootable immediately after death.
