Items
In Antaris we use a random generated system to generate the loot. This is completely random and do not use any loot tables, it can drop any of the following:
Random items
In WoA the random items are generated following a custom algorithm. They will have a power level relative to the creature that dropped them and a number of properties based on the quality of the item.
The number of properties varies from 1 (average item) to 6 (godly item) and the level depends on the creature level that generated it (enemy), not the killer (player).
So a godly item dropped by a level 3 mob will have 6 properties with a low value on each of them while a godly item dropped by a level 20 mob will have very powerful properties.
Socketed items
Mobs will have the chance to drop socketed items and gems. Socketed items are plain items that allow you to add any gem you want to customize their stats. This is the long game, as getting the 5 sockets weapon type you want might take you time but even a 3 sockets can be very good as you are the one that chooses the gems and effects you place on it.
Gems stack on top of each other up to some limits. If you reach the limit you won't lose the gem, don't worry.
Feel free to experiment.
Gems are more popular than items in regards to drop rate.
Item level restriction
We have a custom system for item level restriction, as follows:
- NWN items: no item level restriction
- Random items: level restriction equal to the level of the creature that dropped it (regardless of quality)
- Socketed items: no restriction for items with 3 sockets, level 8 required for items with 4 sockets and level 15 required for items with 5 sockets.
